Turn comments into conversations

Every day, people comment on your posts, reply to your stories and mention you across socials. Each one is a small open door: someone raising their hand, telling you they are interested. The problem is simple. You cannot be online every minute to walk through every door, and the moment passes fast. By the time you reply, the excitement has cooled.

This is the gap that automation is meant to close. Not by making you sound like a robot, but by making sure no interested person is ever left waiting. Here is how to do it well.

Start where the intent is: comments and mentions

The highest intent moments are public. Someone comments "where can I get this", replies to your story, or @ mentions you to a friend. A DM automation turns that public signal into a private conversation, instantly and automatically.

The idea is straightforward. You choose a trigger, for example a comment on a post or a mention of your account, and from that moment on, anyone who takes that action receives a direct message from you. It could be the link they asked for, a welcome, or the first step of an offer. It goes out in seconds, day or night, whether you are at your desk or asleep.

You stay in control of the details:

  • Which posts: every post, or just the one campaign you are running.

  • Which comments: everyone, or only people who use a keyword you choose, such as "link".

  • Who gets it: everyone, or only your more engaged followers.

Automated does not have to mean impersonal

The fear with automation is that every message feels mass sent. It does not have to. You have two ways to write your DM.

You can write it yourself and let it go out to everyone, personalised with the recipient's name so it still feels one to one. Or you can let the AI read each comment and write a reply that fits what the person actually said, only sending when a reply genuinely makes sense. The first gives you full control of the wording. The second adapts to every conversation. Most people start with the first and grow into the second.

You can also add an image and buttons. A button can open a link, or it can invite a one tap reply that opens a real back and forth. That first message with a reply button is what many people call an Opening DM, and it is how a single automated message becomes an actual conversation, complete with follow ups when the person responds.

Beyond DMs: your whole community, handled

DM automation is the reason most people start. It is rarely the reason they stay.

Once your socials are connected, a scanner can review your community on a schedule, hourly or daily, and surface exactly what is worth your attention: replies worth sending, posts worth making, and the moments worth jumping on. Everything lands in one place for you to approve, tweak or skip. Nothing goes out without you.

And when you want something specific done, you can simply ask. Draft a poll, analyse how engagement is moving across your platforms, or generate on brand replies to the people commenting on your posts. These actions, called skills, can be run on demand or set to run automatically on a schedule, so your recurring work takes care of itself.

The pattern is the same throughout. The repetitive parts run on their own. You keep the final say, and you get your time back for the work only you can do.

Getting started takes minutes

There is no long setup. You connect at least one platform, Instagram, X, Twitch or Discord, and from there you can switch on the scanner, create your first DM automation, or both. The more you add about your brand and your voice, the more accurate everything becomes.

If you have been meaning to reply to every comment, welcome every new follower and never miss a mention, this is how you finally do it without burning out.
